Bug Description
Ubuntu Kernel became unstable at versions after 3.8.0-27.
3.8.0-27 was the last well working version, means recent 12.04.3 release is unstable!
Later versions (including 3.10.0 and 3.11.0) suffers from wide range of problems also.
Among them:
1. Hangs/Freezes (random, mainly at idle. Permanently on restart)
2. Soft lockups (mostly load related, react to pings but nothing else)
3. Scary errors in dmesg as (permanent):
[ 11.855406] Buffer I/O error on device zram0, logical block 51329
4. Graphics artifacts, mainly "snow" like horizontal stripes.
Observed on next platforms:
* Reported VBox 4.3.0 (#3)
* Intel Atom330@NV75 (#3)
* Intel i5ULV@SandyBridge + Intel3000HD (#1, #3, #4)
* Intel i7@X58 + NVS300 (#1, #2, #3)
There was an improvement with #1 at Kernels starting 3.11.0-3, rest of the problems still there.
