Unable to obtain IP address

Binary package hint: linux-igd

Since updating from 10.04 Ubuntu Server to 10.10, my syslog has been having entries like this:

upnpd[1109]: Failure obtaining ip address of interface eth1

It happens once a minute and never seems to be able to get the IP address. Eth1 is the external interface to my internet and is assigned an IP address from a DCHP server whereas Eth0 is the LAN and has a static IP address.

Are you still having this problem ? What versions did you upgrade from and to if you can remember, please ?

I believe this was fixed earlier. I have stopped using that software on my
server. I can't remember what version I was using. This ticket can be
closed. Thanks for double checking.

This is fixed in linux-igd/1.0+cvs20070630-5, when that reaches Ubuntu. Apols for the time taken to find and fix it.
