Wireless fails on all kernel updates since 4.13.0-45

Bug Description

I did some research and this seems to be the result of missing headers in the kernel patch. I found some references to steps to force a full kernel build but I wasn't able to get the steps to work. I've locked the 4.13.0-45 kernel hoping a future patch will correct the issue.

I downloaded the patch but the Ubuntu installer didn't work. I did a
quick search that pointed me at "sudo dpkg -i $pkg" which fixed the issue.

Thanks for the pointer.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.18 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
