Bug Description

This started for no appearent reason (but after reading about similar problems, I guess that it started after kernel update)

My Ubuntu 16.04 crashes (freezes) everytime I restart or shutdown (soft). And I have to use hard shutdown.
After that, Ubuntu starts normally, and runs without problems until the next restart or shutdown.

The syslog file does not display any abnormalities. Nor does the file kern.log
However, directory /var/crash/ contains 2 files with relevant information (_usr_lib_x86_64-linux-gnu_xfce4_panel_wrapper-1.0.1000.crash and _usr_bin_xfwm4.1000.crash). I attach them. I also attach a few photographs of the last screens.

All of the crashes involve kernel paging, but everytime at a different location:

An updade on kernel versions.

Originally I saw the bug with kernel version 4.13.0-30
Later I checked and found that the bug is present in versions 4.13.0-29 and 4.13.0-26
No bug in kernel 4.10.0-42

I was advised to rephrase the description of the bug.

Steps to reproduce:
Restart or shutdown (soft) the computer.

Got result:
The computer crashes (freezes). And I have to use hard shutdown.

Expected result:
The computer restarts or shuts down normally.

Hello,
4.13.0 is not supported anymore, please feel free to open a new bug with a newer kernel if you're still experiencing this issue.
Thanks
