Bug Description
This started for no appearent reason (but after reading about similar problems, I guess that it started after kernel update)
My Ubuntu 16.04 crashes (freezes) everytime I restart or shutdown (soft). And I have to use hard shutdown.
After that, Ubuntu starts normally, and runs without problems until the next restart or shutdown.
The syslog file does not display any abnormalities. Nor does the file kern.log
However, directory /var/crash/ contains 2 files with relevant information (_usr_lib_
All of the crashes involve kernel paging, but everytime at a different location:
BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffff89?
