by the way: The hardware of this computer allowed for perfect suspend/resume under 14.04, with kernel 3.13.xxx and nvidia-304 and 340

so I guess the new kernel introduced a mistake

4.13.0 is not supported anymore, please feel free to open a new bug with a newer kernel if you're still experiencing this issue.
