Bug Description

On occasion from waking from sleep, the system will not receive an update on the laptop's lid state and will continue assuming that the lid is closed. This will cause the system to go back to sleep after a while. The system does wake normally (so something is triggering the wake event) but the lid fails to update, normally causing the system to go back to sleep shortly again.

This is confirmed with `cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state`, which will read "closed" after sleep.

This issue is resolvable by either rebooting or by closing/re-opening the computer without letting it go to sleep, which will force a lid state update and allow the computer to operate normally again.

Reproducible from kernel 4.10 onwards.
