Desktop not loading

so after updating my kernel to this version my Ubuntu boots normally and then when i enter my password and hit enter it just gives me a gray screen and stays on there until it gets back to the users page again where i have to enter my password again i have tried the recovery mode with the same version of kernel and it seems that the problem is gone but not regularly

I have exactly the same issue after updating the same version of Ubuntu to the 6.2 version of the linux kernel.

Also I have another issue: shutting down takes too much time due to gdm3 service.

Bothe issues were gone when I switched to the 5.19.0-50-generic linux kernel.

I use xserver-xorg-video-nouveau video driver (version 1:1.0.17-2build1)

Randomly crashes with the new kernel update.
Click on software apps to open it, system crashed.
Other times open an application on the dock, system crashed.
This is a new install of Ubuntu 22.04.3 with the new 6.2 kernel update.

Same issue with me.
The desktop boots but after typing password for login - black screen and no desktop session starts.
Trying new install - same bug: the iso loads with screen for Try Ubuntu or Install. Selecting Try Ubuntu again black screen.
Same issue with Kubuntu 22.04.3 iso.
