Tobin - how are you booting this image? directly from redboot via a HTTP load?

Tobin Davis (gruemaster) wrote :

The babbage-TO2-sd.img is an sd card image file that contains the redboot loader, kernel, and initrd. I haven't had a chance to get a tftp server online yet to do any other methods.

Jeremy Kerr (jk-ozlabs) wrote :

So just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly - you're not netbooting, right?

Oliver Grawert (ogra) wrote :

this image is closer to the debian minimal iso, it boots locally but gets all packages from online resources.
the network connection works if you retry the netcfg step in the installer multiple times, i suspect the fix for bug #457878 will also fix this one.

summary: - netboot image fails to connect to the network
+ netinstall image fails to connect to the network
Jeremy Kerr (jk-ozlabs) wrote :

OK, we should check to see if a netinstall build with the fix from #457878 addresses this issue, otherwise I'll look into this further.

Tobin Davis (gruemaster) wrote :

This is fixed with the beta-2 image.
