Bug Description

Hello all,

Daily, or multiple times per day, the wireless card on my XPS 13 9380 crashes, forcing me to shutdown my computer and then boot it back up. I am on Ubuntu 20.04, and here is the results from dmesg -T right after such a crash happens:

Appologies for the long delay. Is this still an issue for you?

I am on 21.04 (Linux XPS-13-9360 5.11.0-41-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Fri Nov 5 11:37:01 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) and this is an issue for me. I have to re-connect to my AP to get connected again.

My wireless card is: Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32)

See attached lspci and journalctl output.

I updated the firmware for this card from the 00157 to the 00288 version of firmware:
https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/tree/master/QCA6174/hw3.0/4.4.1

and it seems to have fixed it but still I get:

ath10k_pci 0000:3a:00.0: failed to install key for vdev 0 peer MY_AP_MAC_ADDRESS: -110

in my journal and on dmesg. but things seem to not disconnect for me.

@benuski, Can you confirm that this is still an issue with an up-to-date Focal 20.04 system?

@craigwharding, 21.04 is EOL. Is this still an issue with Impish 21.10?
