Normally we wait for fixes to get merged into upstream linux-firmware before we take them into Ubuntu, and at this point I don't even see that Intel has sent a merge request for this firmware (though I do see it in Emmanuel's linux-firmware tree). Of course we can make exceptions depending on the circumstances, but this bug report lacks any details about the actual problems being fixed, which will be needed to SRU the update in any case.

Can you update this bug report's title/description to describe the bug which the firmware update fixes? I'll also get in touch with Emmanuel to find out about the status of upstreaming the new firmware. Thanks!

Hmm wait ... I guess there is one upstream version of -10 ucode we don't yet have, but there's also an even newer version in Emmanuel's tree. Can you also say which specific version of the -10 ucode fixes the issue?
