Bug Description

Raspberry Pi 4 GPU is disabled by default - no KMS/DRM support. It uses software rendering only.

Workaround:

Edit /boot/firmware/usercfg.txt and add the line:

  dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d

Why is this considered a bug? Not everybody wants kms by default.

Yeah I understand that's why it is the way it is.

But I've been asked to make everything work better out of the box. And this really is the only thing that doesn't, so I suggest we should change that.

The alternative would be to automatically insert 'dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d' when the user installs ubuntu-desktop or such.
