Bug Description

I have a Toshiba Universal dock (Dynadock using USB3) with keyboard, mouse, ethernet and display attached.

When I use a USB OTG cable with the Nexus 7, the keyboard, mouse and ethernet work perfectly but the screen does not.

Would dearly love to get the tablet working when docked so I can potentially carry only one device.

I have also tested with Raring on my laptop (the machine that I am submitting this bug with) and get the same outcome.
So I guess that means it's a kernel issue rather than Nexus 7 specific?

I have also confirmed that on Ringtail (and all latest updates) that video over USB on a second universal docking station does not work either.
It looks like Displaylink support is a bit lacking in Ubuntu unfortunately.

The benefit for enterprise is great if this can be made to work since universal docks are a mainstay of the BYOD trend. To be unable to bring an ubuntu desktop to work and use the full capabilities of the hotdesk environment gives bragging rights to the Windows and Mac users.

This Targus docking station shows up as

Bus 004 Device 003: ID 17e9:4306 DisplayLink

I would be delighted to test if there are any ideas on how to get this working.
