new backport module disables wireless

Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules-2.6.27-7-generic

An update to this module on 6 November has removed access to wireless - wireless card (Intel 3945ABG) no longer appears under ifconfig or iwconfig commands - and wireless does not appear as an option under nm-applet.

Running Intrepid Ibex with latest updates

I can confirm this. Using a HP DV9000 with Intel 3945ABG Wireless card. Updated on November 6 and Wireless stopped working.

I have the some bug on Acer 5601AWLMI with Intel PRO/WIRELESS 3945ABG card. Updated on November 6th and wireless card not detected on my system.

without linux-backports-modules-intrepid wireless card are detected but... not find any wifi network...

Same problem for me : no wireless interface with this backport package
