Bug Description

Ever since linux-backports-modules-2.6.24-21-generic was rolled out onHardy I have been unable to authenticate with Aruba access point via either WPA-Enterprise or WPA2-Enterprise authentication.

Authentication works if I either:

1) Boot the prior kernel 2.6.24-19-generic
2) Uninstall linux-backports-modules-2.6.24-21-generic (unfortunately this caused my NVidia card to stop functioning and the system falls back to 800x600 VESA).

All subsequent updates have show the same problem (-22, -23).

Wireless card is iwl3945

linux-backports-modules-2.6.24-21-generic contained an update for the iwl3945 driver.

Before the update lsmod | grep iwl3945 looked like:

Using NetworkManager. Connection attempt continually fails and NetworkManager prompts for new key.

If I reboot back to 2.6.24-19, everything works fine.

Let me know if any other info required.

Ping.

Do you need anything else to diagnose this?

Seems to have been resolved by linux-backports-modules-2.6.24 2.6.24-24.32

May be duplicate of Bug #322434: Wifi (ipw2200) stopped connecting with kernel update 2.6.24-22
