Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules

The current version of bcm5974 in hardy-lbm, 0.57, contains a few problems:

* The BTN_TOUCH event is missing, effectively preventing bcm5974 to work as a mouse using mousedev

* Auto-suspend is not supported

* After closing the device (leaving X), the keyboard sometimes becomes unusable

By upgrading to bcm5974-0.65, which is both upstream and in intrepid, these problems are remedied.

Patch included.

Tested with kernel 2.6.24-21-generic, works fine. Earlier kernels do not export usbhid_modify_dquirk, and consequently the module does not load,

Tested on MacBookAir1,1:

1. Install linux-backports-modules
2. Add 'bcm5974' to /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
3. Update ramdisk
4. Reboot

Works fine.

bcm5974 is already natively available in intrepid - am I missing something here?
