When I fire up linphone and ask it to enable self view, it pops up a window, but the content is dark. The window resizes if I pick different video resolutions, but always shows black. 100% repeatable.
I can run cheese, and the webcam works fine. It will show the preview window, it will take photo's and it will record video.
I eventually re-compiled linphone 3.7.0 from source and this also works fine.

This is bug in 3.6.*. It can be fixed by rebuild with "--disable-glx". But it will not be fixed in repo. Use PPA: /launchpad. net/~linphone/ +archive/ ubuntu/ release
