Time server not found in Kubuntu

Time in Kubuntu 8.10 with kde 4.2 on AMD 64 system does not update and shows wrong time.
This happens when install is made without connection to internet and whatever script is run to set time blocks access to time servers afterwards.

This is a real pain as time on these computers in always wrong as it does not get updated and it cannot be fixed through system settings which just says servers cannot be found.

Not sure whether fault is with unstallation script or otherwise.

Sunbird package is wrong but I could not find package . Tried system settings and time and got nowhere. Launchpad setup for bugs a pain which takes too much time.
