Lightning uses wrong localization info (english lightning in German thunderbird)

Bug #686011 reported by Christopher Odenbach on 2010-12-06

lightning-extension (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

if I set my language to German, Thunderbird uses a German user interface. But if I add the lightning extension from the package xul-ext-lightning the lightning menu items are all English.

This problem has already been posted at . The workaround is of course installing the extension manually as user (not as package).

I have the same problem. Installing Lightning from the Mozilla page is not an option for me, because there are only i386 binaries for Linux, no PPC version.

Changed in lightning-extension (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

Same - Ubuntu 11.04-64, Thunderbird 5.0b1, Lightning 1.0b4pre - English Lightning in Russian local.
