I have recently installed Ubuntu 11.10, followed by my installing xubuntu-desktop through Synaptic. I can log in normally, and use XFCE normally(By selecting it with the gear icon at the login screen to select XFCE session), but upon logout, I get a blank screen for about 15 sec., followed by screen corruption which looks like scrambled pixels from the logon screen. I will attach a photo later.
I expect to see the logon screen.
Distro and flavor: Ubuntu 11.10
xubuntu-desktop:
Installed: 2.138.1
Candidate: 2.138.1
Steps to reproduce:
1)Install Ubuntu 11.10 amd64 through wubi
2)Install xubuntu-desktop through Synaptic.
3)Attempt a logon selecting XFCE session instead of Ubuntu or Ubuntu 2D.
4)Use XFCE normally.
5)Attempt logout.
5a) Note screen corruption.
A hard reboot is necessary to fix situation.
ALT+SYSRQ+K does not work to force logoff in this situation.

Hi. I don't really know what happened, but now my system can fully log out after about 5 sec. of screen corruption. I have made no changes--it simply hung at the screen corruption permanently before. I have an image of the screen attached.
