On Screen Keyboard doesn't work on logon screen

I logged out to observe the new lightdm changes and whilst there enabled the onscreen keyboard. As soon as I enable it I am unable to enter a password with either the onscreen keyboard or the real keyboard. Switching off the OSK enabled me to type my password again.

This is no duplicate of #915468. This one is about the on-screen keyboard, the other one about keyboard layouts. As it is still an issue, could someone please remove the duplicate tag?
