notification for extensions keep reapearing

Bug Description
after installing lightdm and login in the guest session, all extensions with notifications restart a few times (at least two, most I've seen is 6) this only started happening after logging off and on again in the guest session. I couldn't find a way to solve this other than turning off the notifications of those extensions, I tested and even the standard extensions that come with Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 show the same issue

I've also had the same problem. I tested it with a few extensions and the error happened with all of them, so it seems to be an issue with the start of a gnome session. It happens mostly with guest sessions, but I've also seen it happen in normal sessions occasionally.
I'm also using Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 and lightdm.
