black screen after suspend

Upgraded to 15.04 yesterday, all packages upgraded.

The screen is black whenever I resume from suspend. This happens consistently. The machine is on and responds to keyboard input, so I am able to Crtl + Alt + F1 to a new screen, and sudo reboot from there, but nothing is visible while I type. When I reboot, the machine starts and runs normally.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

with me it is a black screen at start, it allows passwords, but does not change to correct backgroud with panel and launcher.

However thi is on a laptop, when I close the lid system hiberates, then when I open the lid, the proper screen is presented with the password request.

The system appears fully functional.
