Window actions (maximise, minimise, close) not aligned with menu bar (File, Edit, ...)

Bug #534792 reported by Paul Sladen on 2010-03-09

light-themes (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

In the top left of each window, there are now three sets of left alignment, none of which are coherent:

 * Window-manager actions (maximise, minimise, close)
 * Window bar title ("Report a bug about ...")
 * Gtk+ Menu bar (File, Edit, View, ...)

Ideally there should be *some* alignment/coherency between at least two of these. This could do partially achieved by either:

 a. moving the window manager actions to the right-hand-side.
 b. aligning the menubar and window manager actions.
 c. centering the window title bar

kwwii: I'm happy if the offset positioning is intentional; ideally I'm thinking that there should be some additional visual clue/tweak, so that it /looks/ intentional (rather than accidentally/randomly/carelessly placed).

This would probably need to be in the form of a spacer to fill the void between the buttons and the left-edge

Perhaps a tiny hyphen-like dash ('-') would probably do it, especially if duplicated between the buttons and the window title.

@Paul, kwwii wanted all these bugs duped to the main bug 532633 , all the decisions will be dealt as a whole.
