Bug Description

Binary package hint: liferea

whenever i try to run liferea an empty window appears, only to disappear and crash liferea. Running liferea from commandline returns returns a segfault.

I am using current ubuntu karmic 32 bit beta with all updates on a samsung p560 plavos laptop.

I just checked and the same thing also happens under Ubuntu Jaunty (all updates) on the p560, as well as my desktop machine.

we need a gdb backtrace, strace is useless for crashes.

ok, strange:
removed wins from nsswitch.conf -> liferea starts
added wins to nsswitch.conf again -> liferea still starts

i'm at a loss.. will try this later on my other machine
