Yes. The Liferea database is in a different place (~/.liferea_1.4/liferea.db),
so you can safely remove them.

I don't think so. The problem is now fixed so only people launching liferea from
/usr/bin/liferea-bin will have this issue, but that's not the correct way to
launch it.
