2008-09-04 19:43:48 Emilio Pozuelo Monfort liferea: statusexplanation It seems to be spinning on a dead unix socket when I caught it in strace. Thanks for checking. Closing as fixed.

2008-09-09 17:04:24 Kees Cook liferea: statusexplanation Thanks for checking. Closing as fixed. I'm re-opening this. It just started happening again. I think it is related to flash -- prior to today I hadn't read any items with flash content. Today, I went through several (none played since flash is very broken on amd64 in intrepid), but the CPU got stuck at 100% again. Here's what strace showed: [pid 12451] poll([{fd=4, events=POLLIN}, {fd=3, events=POLLIN}, {fd=6, events=POLLIN}, {fd=14, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=16, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=17, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=18, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=21, events=POLLIN}, {fd=42, events=POLLIN}, {fd=41, events=POLLIN}, {fd=36, events=POLLIN}, {fd=9, events=POLLIN}], 12, 0) = 0 [pid 12451] write(28, "\372", 1) = 1 [pid 12451] read(3, 0x261cac4, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)

Not that it will help in any way... Upstream knows this happens for some people, and has no clue on how to fix it. Xulrunner support has been removed from Liferea trunk, and the next major series (1.6) will only support WebKit. We will close this report with 1.6, but in the meantime I'm afraid there's not much we can do, unless anybody knows how to fix it :)
