Bug Description

Just got an out of space warning on my SSD. turns out .liferea_1.8/liferea.db-wal was topping 20GB of space. This problem is a known bug and was fixed in Liferea 1.8.6. Ubuntu 12.04 has Liferea 1.8.3. This patch should probably be applied.

It's still there in 12.10 because it's still the same version of Liferea.

There's also a Debian bug report too: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=676659

I have a sort-of-kind-of work-around that's not really a good work around.

Basically, I've just set up a cron job to kill Liferea and restart it everyday around midnight.
