Bug Description

libxv-dev now only contains Xv.h while some software still
uses Xvlib.h. whats the right way to deal with that?
symlink Xv.h to Xvlib.h
or patch the software using Xvlib.h

(same for XvMC.h vs. XvMClib.h from libxvmc-dev)

my thinking that Xv.h and Xvlib.h would be the same is obviously wrong.
so this bug report falls back to Xvlib.h is missing in packages
libxv-dev(6.8.2-34)

So, Xv.h is more or less wire protocol, while Xvlib.h defines what the
client-side library exposes. The former is in x11proto-video-dev, and the
latter in libxv-dev, as of latest uploads, which are still in a queue to enter
the archive. libxv-dev depends on x11proto-video-dev, so installing libxv-dev
nets you both.
