Bug Description

Using Ubuntu 7.10 (all updates installed).

When switching to external monitor or projector, the screen is not displayed correctly.
This only happens if both laptop display, and the external monitor/projector is active at the
same time. If I only view the external output everything is ok.
But when both are active, the image displayed is "to large" for the projector/external monitor
to display, and it is a little bent.

I use HP NC6400, Intel chipset.
serial number : HUB6420CV
Partnr EH422AV If I am asked if I still have the problem in Hardy,
Yes and now, because now, the the resolution on my laptop also changes so I am unable to use my laptop screen.
it gets very lange and all windows are to big and so on. But I am not using Linux anymore on my laptop.
Sorry back to Windows because no one fixed it. I will try Linux on my laptop in November, but I guess it is the same
I use my laptop for presentations and I am unable to do it without looking at my screen.

So the answer is YES I HAVE THE PROBLEM.

Yes,

Hi hfasteng,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
