Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

This is actually more of a feature request, but I didn't know where else to put it.

The keyboard layout manager (gnome-keyboard-layout) doesn't allow for more than four installed layouts, which is a bit of a limitation when working in a multi-language setting. I would love this limit to be removed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

It would be nice if it could be assigned the 'wishlist' status. I know of people who need this feature. There is really nothing more to be added.
