QTNX for 12.04 too old to connect to server

Hi -

My remote server is the NEATX flavour of NoMachine's nxserver. It happens to be a gentoo machine, and the NEATX version reports as "Version 3.3.0 - GPL".

Unfortunately, the QTNX client supplied/installed from Ubuntu Software Centre reports as "Version 3.0.0".

While NoMachine's web-site has more-recent clients, there is *nothing* for the PowerPC architecture (I'm running 12.04LTS on a PowerBook G4 laptop).

My request is for a PPC version of QTNX = 3.3.0.

Oh, as for the result of an attempted connection:

The QTNX dialogue box remains on-screen, there is no remote-X window appearing, CPU usage on my PPC laptop sits at 100%, and no errors/warnings/witticisms are displayed in the terminal window.

Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling us which new version it is in.
