Bug Description

Compose implements single arrow stuff

<Multi_key> <less> <minus> : "←" U2190 # LEFTWARDS ARROW
<Multi_key> <minus> <greater> : "→" U2192 # RIGHTWARDS ARROW

But no double arrow:

<Multi_key> <equal> <greater> : "⇒" U21D2 # RIGHT DOUBLE ARROW
<Multi_key> <less> <equal> : "⇐" U21D0 # LEFT DOUBLE ARROW

This fixes this dilemma.

/usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose

It should go around line 4130, above or below the single arrow lines. Is the X11 repo on git anywhere?

I looked at the patch and meant to send it upstream, but I noticed that it conflicts with "≤" and "≥", so you don't actually get the double arrows with the patch.

I'd say that the less-than-or-equal, and greater-than-or-equal should change. The double and single arrow follow a nice convention that is 4 glyphs strong.

I'd rather see ≤ and ≥, mapped to _> and _< (with underbars) myself. What do you think?

You need to suggest that upstream. Changing something that has been there for some time already is really not something we'll change in ubuntu.
