Bug Description

libvirt FTBFS on powerpc : the nxfilterxml2xmltest tests fail, due to endian assumptions in the code.

debdiff embedding Stefan Berger's patch Edit (8.5 KiB, text/plain)

The attached patch includes the first of Stefan Berger's solutions from https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2010-September/msg00297.html

I've tested it on both big-endian and little-endian machines, and it successfully passed all tests.

    NWFilter XML processing includes endian assumptions. Ensure
    that XML is parsed in an endian-safe manner. Thanks to
