Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 15.04 dev with vlc 2.2.0~rc2-1 and on enabling VDPAU in the VLC media player (by going to the menu bar -> Tools -> Preferences -> Video -> Display -> Output and setting it to "VDPAU output" (on my system this seems also to be the default from "Automatic")) I'm seeing for a short time heavy graphic issues if I'm going to a new playing position in the video. In the attachments is an example video which causes this issue if the playing position is changed.

I have no problem playing that example video with VDPAU here. If you are using the Mesa VDPAU driver, please not that it is buggy... If you are sure that this is a VLC bug, please provide the VDPAU trace, e.g. running:

# VDPAU_TRACE=1 vlc 2014_12_17_09_54_35.mkv

I'm using libvdpau1 0.8-3 (that comes automatically as dependency from nvidia-settings).

No unexpected errors in VLC logs, no unexpected errors in VDPAU trace, and no problems playing the file on another computer... I have to leave this bug to Ubuntu people.

Maybe it is then a bug directly in VDPAU.

FWIW, I cannot reproduce the problem, either. I am running Trusty.
