look ok, but please add abi/api tracking facilities to the package. e.g. .symbols files preferred, but makeshlibs variant also ok.

targetted for release as this was already pre-promoted. so it needs to be fixed.

this library is maintained in debian by the pkg-multimedia/motumedia team. that team has a number of experienced DDs and non-DDs that check for ABI/API issues before upload.

currently I don't see a need for change in packaging because of such issues. we (the pkg-multimedia team) will of course act appropriately when necessary.

ok ... after IRC discussion with siretart i am willing to approve without abi tracking in packaging ... lets see if multimedia team is really that strict about their abi procedures :-P.

I still encourage anyone to add .symbols just as a safety net when team procedures fail.
