Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store

I'm getting a:

Internet connection is required to access the music store
Please connect and reload.

Error even though my internet connection is working just fine (telnet connections, http browsing, etc.). Can't open the music store at all - wanted to find where did the new album that I purchased a few days ago (which i gave up on playing because I got the same error right after purchasing) went.

This bug can be recreated by attempting to play a Daft Punk video via the Ubuntu One Music Store plugin in Rhythmbox.

I can't find any other videos in the store to test it on.

I'm also having this problem. Fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 on a Thinkpad T410s. Freshly apt-get upgraded.

Purchasing any music requires me to restart Rhythmbox twice.

I find an album I want to buy, click 'checkout'. Then I get a message saying "Connecting to Ubuntu One music store". This message persists and I am unable to get rid of it except by closing Rhythmbox altogether.

After restarting Rhythmbox, I go back to the album, click 'checkout' again. This time, it figures out that I'm already logged into Ubuntu One and allows me to verify my credit card. After my purchase, I can see the list of songs with the download icon on the right of each song. When I try to download a song, I get the message:

"Internet connection is required to access the music store
Please connect and reload."

No matter how much I reload, nothing changes. I definitely have a route to the Internet.

From here, I close Rhythmbox again. restart it again, navigate to 'My Downloads' under the Ubuntu One store. Now, I can see a list of my newly purchased songs with a 'queued' message on the right with a swirling circle.

Then they start downloading. Then everything is fine. If there's any more info you require, or if you want some logs or a trace, please let me know.

Same problem here. Just purchased the music and can't download it.

Using the embeded Ubuntu One section under Rhythmbox I can:
 * Search for desired songs
 * Login (browser window opened)
 * Pay using PayPal
 * After the payment aproval, the songs download links apeared.

By clickin on the download link, the message above appears:

Internet connection is required to access the music store
Please connect and reload.

Clicking on "Reload" button still says the same message.

How can I help solving the issue?

Update:

I closed Rhythmbox and open it again. After this, Rhythmbox shows that the download is in enqueued and then shows it progress.

The songs where downloaded properly to my computer after I clicked on Reload button under Ubuntu One Preferences dialog for the current PC. I haven't accessed my Ubuntu One account for a while, maybe the download was just taking more time.

This workded fine for me, please don't consider my information for this bug.

I tried what worked for Ronoaldo (Maverick AMD64), but no luck on that one. I only bought one song (more to try out the service and support the community), but still.. This should not be an issue, especially on Canonical's native platform.

After about 10 restarts of Rhythmbox (not counting the crashes, which were plentiful), the song mysteriously downloaded. Don't ask me how, but this is not a very positive intro to the U1 music store. Whatever's buggin' needs to get fixed.
