Bug Description

Found while doing a install test:

Unpacking libsieve2-1 (from .../libsieve2-1_2.2.3-1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libsieve2-1_2.2.3-1_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libsieve.so.1', which is also in package libmailutils1
Selecting previously deselected package libsieve2-dev.
Unpacking libsieve2-dev (from .../libsieve2-dev_2.2.3-1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libsieve2-dev_2.2.3-1_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libsieve.a', which is also in package libmailutils-dev

I will fix this if someone mentors me.

(I've already compared the files in both packages to see if libmailutils-dev provides libsieve2-dev but no, there are only some of them.)

Siegfired,

It looks like the mailutils source package contains it's own copy of libseive. One way to do it would be to see if configure supports building with an external libseive and then build-depending on that. At a quick glance I don't see a way to turn off building with libseive.
