SVG Image causes Nautilus to crash when attempting to generate preview

An SVG image exported from Mathematica causes Nautilus to crash, seemingly while trying to generate a thumbnail preview on 32bit Hardy. I was unable to get a core file, but seemingly what happens is as soon as any directory is opened containing the SVG, nautilus crashes and attempts to restart, this happens in a continuous loop since each time it restarts, the directory (or desktop) is still open, and it attempts to generate another thumbnail. This happens regardless of whether the file is on the desktop or in a directory.

I've attached the SVG in question (I had to make it a tarball so that I could get to the file without it crashing).

thank you for your bug report, the crash would rather be a librsvg one, the example is a binary file though and doesn't crash in jaunty, eog and rsvg-view complain about the formatting and nautilus doesn't thumbnail the image and doesn't crash

Could you try to obtain a backtrace following the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash? does eog or rsvg-view works correctly?

There is still an issue with thumbnailing in Nautilus happening with Karmic. SVGs, WAVs, and AVIs seem to be the culprits.

Any way to diagnose this easily?
