Bug Description

Sounds on Libreoffice fail to play when added to custom animation. To reproduce:

-Find a suitable mp3/wav/ogg file.
-Make a new object (e.g. picture, fontwork, shape) and add custom animation to it.
-Select the sound file you prepared and add it under effect options.

-The sound effects that come with libreoffice fail to play also.

The sound plays on the preview, but on the actual slide show it is not heard.

Demo file - custom animation with sound

As in attachment, sound fails to play if added to an object in custom animation. Sounds do work on slide transition however. This bug has been around for a long time, from older versions to the very latest Libreoffice.

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

I Found the solution.

Recently I downloaded Libre Office 4.4 Dev x64 and the sound for custom animations worked!! ;) It seems that they have fixed this bug. When the next stable Libreoffice will be released we will have no problem!!!

I am using Xubuntu 14.10 x64. Post me back if it worked for you!
