This issue is still there updating to precise.
Libreoffice is the only application which has this problem.
It happens every time.

I am not sure if this is hw-specific...

I have the same problem - I'm using a nvidia 8600M GT with driver 280.13.

This happens on my second monitor to the right of my primary monitor.

I'm on libreoffice 3.5.2, Xubuntu 11.10.

Slightly different symptoms yet probably the same bug. I tested it with right clicking on an empty document, the menu bar context menu's behave normally because i installed the unity/dbus fix (lo-menubar)

LibreOffice 3.5.2.2
Build ID: 350m1(Build:202)

Ubuntu 12.04

Triple head
2x radeon hd5770 crossfire mode
fglrx from jockey(not post-release-updates)

behavior:
opening the context menu on left display behaves normally (opens to the right of mouse cursor)
opening the context menu on middle display makes it appear to the far left of the right most display, Y position is correct, X is 0, subcontextmenu's overlap the parent
opening the context menu on the right display makes it appear to the left of the mouse cursor, subcontextmenu's appear to the left of the parent
