Bug Description

I've just upgraded to Precise and during the process I was presented with a dialogue warning me that LibreOffice couldn't be upgraded. When I completed the installation and rebooted, I tried to install libqt4-dev and got the following response

notgary@notgary-iMac:~$ sudo apt-get install libqt4-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies.

E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

Just from reading this it seems to me that two pieces of the apt dependency chain between the archive and my computer have become de-synced. I've tried following the advice given in the apt-get output, but only get this:

notgary@notgary-iMac:~$ sudo apt-get -f install
Reading package lists... Done

Correcting dependencies... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.

My package manager is effectively knocked out until this can be resolved. Any ideas what I can do at my end?
