santam chakraborty, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. This issue being Triaged in Ubuntu is dependent on Zotero getting packaged within Ubuntu's repositories. The packaging request may be found at: Once the package is provided in Ubuntu repo's, we can work on triaging this issue. Marking as Won't Fix.

Changed in libreoffice (Ubuntu):
status: New → Won't Fix

I don't think it's our (Zotero's) bug. It looks more like is back from the dead.

that would be which is fixed in 3.4.4 (available in ppa and soon SRU-ed)

I don't think it is, I have installed the 3.4.4 from the ppa and the problem is still there, with the same konsole's output reported above.

kiloxxx (kiloxxx) wrote :

A temporary workaround consist in removing libreoffice-kde and installing both libreoffice-gtk and oxygen-gtk style.
The graphical effect is closer to the one provided by libreoffice-kde and zotero is now working.

Hope Ubuntu team reconsiders to fix this issue with KDE integration. It would be a pitty for kubuntu users to get rid of kde integration in order to use zotero
