Bug Description
Solved. I was using 10.10. It all happened after an update of firefox. It downloaded and installed ca. 570 MB of stuff. I rebooted. After reboot I thought something wasn't going right and tried to do a full update (that was the suggestion from the Update Manager) to 11.04 (firefox updated correctly, instead). Then came the mess(age), and no chance to complete the update to 11.04. Using Update Manager was simply impossible: I got another error message "an upgrade from natty to maverick is not supported with this tool", or it crashed down (the manager, I mean). I rebooted again and choose an older version of Ubuntu (9.10, I believe) then fully updated to version 11.04 via terminal (thanks to forum!). Libreoffice has been removed and now everything works fine, except some windows randomly close, apparently without a reason. Nothing to worry about.(?)
Hope not to annoy you. Thanks.
Have a good day!
