Chris Clabaugh, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please attach the pptx file created in MSFT Office that when imported into Impress, demonstrates this problem? What specific font inconsistency is demonstrated?

Chris (P)-- I am attaching an excerpt from one of the affected pptx files. The slides are supposed to build, with the red and blue lines extending across the pseudo-graph. The other treatments should map to specific points on the diagram. The titles in the MSFT pptx viewer all lie within the title box, on this copy you can see they are made larger / extend outside the title box.

Chris Clabaugh, could you please post a screenshot of how it should look in MS Office?

Here is a PDF, generated on Win XP- You can see in the first slide how the animation should have extended the lines up and to the right. Also the font sizes / types seems to get screwed up as well, at least occasionally.

Chris Clabaugh, The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport . If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

In several cases, PowerPoint pptx files do not display correctly, especially with animated line and object drawings. Fonts are not displayed or mapped correctly; and visual/graphical slides are completely scrambled.
