Bug Description

Binary package hint: libreoffice

I installed the current version of libreoffice-report-builder (1:1.2.1+LibO3.3.2-1ubuntu4). After the installation the item "Create Report in Design View..." appeared in the Report view of LibreOffice Base. But nothing happens when I click on this item.

Additionally the report wizard stopped working. When I click on "Use Wizard to Create Report..." it shows the error message "No valid template was found". I tried to remove libreoffice-report-builder to get the wizard working again and that worked fine.

Hi All,

I have the same 2 exact problems on a first time brand new LibreOffice Base install :

1. nothing happens when I click "create report in design view"
2. "no valid template was found" error windows pops up when trying to use the report wizard

I do not know what can be done (am a non tech end user, not sure what to make out of the dependencies listed above?) but having no access to any report is a problem for my use of OpenOffice Base.

Your help will be much appreciated !

Thanks for reading.

Its back in 1:3.5 after the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 and don't seem to be able to find a way around it.

When I try and open an existing report, I get the error, librptlo.so is not installed. If I try to create a new report, nothing happens.

I also notice that filtering a database no longer works. May be related, but can live with that for now if I can get the reports working.

Oops, I lied - I forgot I hadn't upgraded at work, so I didn't have 12.04. I do now though, and have the same problem (no report in design view, and no report wizard). Existing reports open with the example field data filled in, instead of my query data.

Same problem, LibreOffice 4.2.8.2, build ID: 420m0 (Build:2), Ubuntu 14.04. Clicking on "Create report in design view" produces nothing. The Report Wizard works, but produces only static reports. Dynamic reports appear to be broken.
