2. libreoffice:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4
3. I expected to see a Print Preview
4.Print Preview is showed for a brief moment (flash) then program crashes and instantly exits. Upon restart file recovery is offered.

Could you please attach a Writer/Calc file that when Print Preview'ed, the crash occurs?

Do you have any extensions installed (ex. lo-menubar)?

Christopher, I used the apport-collect as requested and was told no more
information was available by a pop-up dialogue box.

I noticed this in the terminal: "Package libreoffice not installed and no
hook available, ignoring". Odd!

Ahh yes I did have lo-menubar. I have now removed it. It's a nice extension
but I'd prefer to be able to see a print preview. :)

@Nick: please note https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/754562/comments/10 -- there is a fixed prerelease of lo-menubar in the LibreOffice Packaging PPA.

Thanks Björn for the PPA. I'm guessing you are aware that the old menu now
appears after doing a print preview. Certainly a step in the right direction
however. It's good the program no longer exits.
