3) What is expected to happen in Ubuntu 11.04 is when one opens the following document in LibreOffice Writer via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/770207/+attachment/2087986/+files/openoffice-doc.odt && lowriter -nologo openoffice-doc.odt

the document looks as it does in Abiword and Ubuntu 10.10's OpenOffice Writer (please see attached Screenshot of how the document looks under OpenOffice.)

4) What happens is some of the text is misaligned (please see attached This is how the .odt document looks under LibreOffice.)

WORKAROUND: Use Abiword.

lsb_release -rd :
Description: Ubuntu 11.04

Reporter comments:
The options in Format -> Paragraph -> Indents & Spacing -> Indent is used to influence when the tabulator key was pressed. When pressing the tabulator key, the cursor would jump to the "Before text" point. So, I wouldn't have to set a tabstop at that point, as long as Format -> Paragraph -> Indents & Spacing -> Indent -> Before text was set.

I've submitted this bug when I've detected it on LibreOffice 3.3.0, but we are now on LibreOffice 3.3.2 and it is still present !

Thank you to have a look on this problem.

The problem seems to be that in OpenOffice the
Format --> Paragraph --> Indents & Spacing --> Indent
options used to act like a tab stop. So, pressing the tabulator key would cause the text to jump to "Before text" point.
I will post screen shots to show this, but first I will post an example .odt file where this problem arises.

I am posting a screenshot of how the file looks under OpenOffice.
This is how it is supposed to look and how it looked before I upgraded to LibreOffice.

This is a screenshot of how the .odt document looks after upgrading to Ubuntu 11.04 (Beta) and using LibreOffice that comes with it.
As you can see, the earlier indentation caused by pressing the tabulator key just isn't there any more.
