Bug Description

Binary package hint: libreoffice

Was searching Launchpad and the repos for LibreOffice icelandic lang-pack + localised help for Natty; seems to be absent <https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice-l10n>

LibreOffice UI is already translated to Icelandic (at 99.8% - LO-help is only 13% translated) and available for download at http://www.libreoffice.org/download/

Are there any formalities before a language is accepted in the Ubuntu repos ?

Sorry, the lang-code is <is> or <is_IS>

Hi Sveinn,

As libreoffice translations are not shipped in language packs but on separate packages, I believe that what is required here is simply to create the following packages containing the upstream translations:

libreoffice-l10n-is
libreoffice-l10n-help-is

And then tell language-selector to install them automatically when Icelandic is selected

l10n enabled on debian with:

I dont think it makes much sense to pack help as of now.

True, as it is only at 12% translated. But there are the Extended Tips, most of which (all?) are already translated. Othervise Draw-help is complete and most Titles/Chapters/Headings/Definitions are in Icelandic, while the main text body is in English.
Could be useful.

Ignore me, language-selector should already do this automatically.

FFe rationale: Trivial fix with no impact on the rest of the package.
