Bug Description

Diacritics ș,ț, look different in Arial, Times New Roman, possibly other font families.

By different I mean they look 80-90% smaller than their neighbor letters.

What setting did I miss ? These diacritics looked normally in Openoffice.

This is still an issue?

Yes, the bug is still here.

BTW, I am using this:
LibreOffice 3.3.2
OOO330m19 (Build:202)
tag libreoffice-3.3.2.2, Ubuntu package 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu6~ppa

as long as the 3.4 didnt hit the PPA, yet

Cheers,

It seems that this problem is because Times and Arial do not contain all the glyphs (and that particular diacritics). And then, LibreOffice displays that glyphs with another font that covers it. In this case, LibO is using Liberation fonts to display missing characters from Arial.

As a side note, you can install LibO 3.4 by downloading it from its website.

However, may I point that Openoffice didnt have this bug ? And the ttf font
files are the same, I presume.

Can you reproduce it (with Romania standard kb mapping) ?

Thanks,
