[Upstream] Can't paste a table inside another table in Writer

click box to right of [GP Practice?] -> Edit -> Select All -> Edit -> Copy -> click cell below Joe elects Option A -> Edit -> Paste and the table is pasted into cell.

4) What happens instead is the table is not pasted, but the word Car is pasted into the cell, and 30,000 is pasted into the cell to the right.

WORKAROUND: Use AbiWord.

I can confirm this behavior in OpenOffice write 2.2 in Ubuntu 7.04. For instance in Abiword I can copy a whole table inside other table.

This was fixed in the LibreOffice 4.4.3 release.

And another workaround is to highlight around the table and then paste.

Bryan Quigley, thanks for the the response.

Unfortunately, LO 4.4.3 is not available via an official Ubuntu repository.

Also, as WORKAROUNDs are not fixes, this would not fit the criteria of Fix Released as defined in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status .

As well, this is still reproducible in the latest version of LO available in an official Ubuntu repository.
